Rachel operates from the core belief that "Life is the Meditation." She is dedicated to compassionately nurturing the therapeutic relationship through creative exploration and a multifaceted approach. By encouraging clients to tap into their innate resources, she supports them in navigating life’s challenges—meeting them exactly where they are on their wellness journey.
Rachel’s work is centered on empowerment. She guides her clients to discover and cultivate deep personal insights and strengths, enhancing their conscious well-being. This focus on growth and resilience is especially vital during difficult transitions and in the profound work of healing from trauma.

Rachel, Psy.D (ABD), LPCC, RScP, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and a Registered Psychotherapist with over 35 years of experience. Her unique clinical approach integrates mental health, spiritual guidance, and the arts. Rachel completed her doctoral coursework (ABD) in Clinical Psychology at Union Institute and University and holds both a BFA and an MFA from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she attended on a full graduate scholarship.
As a practitioner for the Centers for Spiritual Living and a dedicated student of Zazen meditation, Rachel seamlessly incorporates mindfulness and spiritual practices into her trauma-informed clinical work. In addition to her private practice, she serves as an adjunct professor of Psychology and Fine Arts and is a professional artist. Her holistic lens is shaped by her love for nature, yoga, and her family.

Rachel’s therapeutic experience is deeply inclusive, spanning diverse cultures, ages, and backgrounds. She works extensively with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, with a specialized focus on the unique challenges of the aging process and the LGBTQ+ community.
An Integrative Approach to Healing
In her practice, Rachel gently navigates the complexities of anxiety, depression, and stress. Her work is particularly centered on trauma—ranging from childhood adversity and abuse, to PTSD and complex trauma. By blending traditional clinical modalities with creative and spiritual exploration, she helps clients move through their trauma, grief, adjustment issues, self esteem and guilt.
